We are pleased you are considering studying on a part-time basis at the University of Waterloo. Applicants seeking admission to undergraduate programs are required to have suitable and adequate preparation to enable them to successfully undertake degree studies at the University. Before submitting an application, prospective students should review the admission requirements to determine whether their background qualifies them for consideration. The admission requirements apply to all applicants who wish to pursue degree studies on a full-time or part-time basis, including studies by online/distance education.
This admission requirements link will open a new window to Waterloo's Admissions' website, where detailed admission requirements are listed. Not all Waterloo programs are available on a part-time basis, so please remember to return to the Part-Time Studies website for the available programs and their specific admission requirements and for the information on How to Apply.
Those wishing to study as a Letter of Permission student or as a Post-degree student will find admission requirements within the respective application procedures, in the How to Apply section of this site.
