Petitions and Policies

Petitions

Petitions are requests for exemption from normal Faculty or University regulations (e.g., those affecting grades) due to special circumstances such as illness or bereavement. The Petition for Exception to Academic Regulations form can be downloaded or is available from the Part-Time Studies Office. Being unaware of deadlines is not grounds for petitioning for an exemption.

Policies Affecting uWaterloo Students

For the information, protection, and benefit of UW students, policies and procedures governing academic, legal, and disciplinary processes are in place. Some of the most pertinent are:

Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy as to Students
Academic Integrity

Students are encouraged to review all uWaterloo Policies. Full versions are found online. If you require the text of a particular policy and do not have web access, call the Part-time Studies Office at 519-888-4002 or send email.
